How It Works
No root, no complex setup. VEIL uses a standard Android overlay permission to sit above every app — invisibly and privately.
Download VEIL from Google Play. Grant the "Display over other apps" permission in Settings — the only permission needed to draw the overlay.
Choose Dim, Blackout, Reading Strip, or Spotlight. Set the opacity to your preference. VEIL remembers your settings between sessions.
A small floating button stays on screen while VEIL is active. Tap it to turn the overlay on or off without leaving the app you're using. Drag it anywhere.

Your mode preferences, opacity, and position are stored locally using Android DataStore. They are never uploaded anywhere.
