Privacy Policy

AppLabs, LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates the VEIL application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
VEIL does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. No account creation is required to use VEIL.
Permissions and Their Purpose
VEIL requests the following Android permissions. Each is used only for the purpose described below and for no other purpose.

| SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW | Required to draw the privacy overlay above other applications. This permission is not used to read, record, or capture screen content. |
| FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE | Required to keep the overlay active while you use other applications. A persistent notification is displayed as required by Android while the service is running. |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Used to show the notification that tells you VEIL is active and lets you turn it off. VEIL sends no other notifications. |
| INTERNET | Used exclusively to communicate with Google Play Billing servers when processing or verifying a VEIL Pro purchase. VEIL does not use this permission to send any personal or usage data. |
Motion Sensor
The optional Tilt-to-Hide feature (VEIL Pro) reads your device's accelerometer, which Android does not require a permission for. Motion data is processed entirely on-device in real time and is never stored, logged, or transmitted.
Local Data Storage
VEIL stores your preferences (selected mode, opacity level, overlay position, and VEIL Pro purchase token) locally on your device using Android DataStore. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to AppLabs, LLC or any third party.
In-App Purchases
VEIL Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play Billing. AppLabs, LLC does not receive, process, or store your payment information. Purchase verification is performed through Google Play's servers. Google's Privacy Policy applies to all billing interactions.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service integrated into VEIL is Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. No advertising, analytics, or social-media SDKs are included.
Children's Privacy
VEIL is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be made available within the App and on our website. Continued use of VEIL after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
